Canterbury has excellent road connections. The M2 and M20 motorways are close by, providing easy links from Kent, London and beyond. The A2 is the main route into Canterbury from the north.

On Foot
If you planning your journey to the Riverside from the city centre why not arrive on foot? The Riverside is just a short walk (0.7 miles, 14 minutes) from the city centre via the Kings Mile or Riverside Walk.

By Bus
Canterbury bus station is located alongside Whitefriars in St George’s Lane. There are frequent bus services to and from Canterbury from most towns and villages within East Kent, and within the city itself.

By Train
Canterbury East and Canterbury West mainline rail stations are served by frequent services to and from London and elsewhere in Kent. Both stations are located just outside the city walls and Riverside is only a 19 minute walk from Canterbury East and a 13 minute walk from Canterbury West.
St Pancras International in London is less than an hour away from Canterbury via Southeastern high speed train services which stop at Canterbury West station.

The Riverside is easily accessible by bike and bike racks are provided for customers. These are located on Kingsmead Road at the bottom of the steps and ramp leading to the Riverside plaza area and within the plaza itself by the Curzon Cinema.

Riverside was built with accessibility and mobility in mind to ensure all areas of the site are equally available to those who are mobility impaired.
13 of our 220 car parking spaces are reserved for those with disabilities, but please remember to display your blue badge when using these spaces. The usual car park tariff applies to blue badge holders.
There is a lift from the undercroft car park to the plaza level plus a slope for wheelchair and pushchair access if visiting from the main road.
