River Stour Clean

James from our Riverside team joined volunteers and the Friends of Kingsmead for the final river clean of 2024. As fish spawning season kicks off this was the last chance for a while.

In just a short stretch between Sainsbury’s and St Radigund’s, they pulled out one trolley, a bike, a chair, traffic cones, metal poles, road furniture, two duvets, an umbrella, and loads of litter bags. Meanwhile, the riverbank crew gathered another 12 sacks of rubbish, bedsteads, and more fly-tipped items.
